The Duplo DF-1200 paper folder is the successor to the popular Duplo DF-1000. The DF-1200 is the only table-top suction folder in the market with Optical Double Feed Detection. Duplo has developed the DF-1200 by looking at the major trends in the global print market, in particular the digital colour market at which it is targeted. The suction feed helps to avoid marking and static fuelled mis-feeding notorious on friction fed paper handling systems whilst also allowing a heavier grade of paper to be fed. User-friendliness is key, with both intelligent paper size detection and automatic plate setting working together to ensure the quickest possible set-up and folding accuracy.
The DF-1200 is a simple to operate folder that because of suction feeding is able to handle digitally printed work without concerns about jamming and waste levels that can accompany other folders. Set up is automatic so the folder can be operated by unskilled staff. Six roller operation and feed accuracy detection means that the unit can run unattended. With its integrated Double Feed Detection it ensures integrity by guaranteeing only a single sheet is fed at a time, critical when folding personalised letters or documents.
Automatic set up for standard formats and job memories for custom jobs make the DF-1200 one of the simplest folders to operate. Suction feed means it will handle digitally printed and coated papers without problem, while a batching function allows production to be interrupted at desired intervals while the delivery is cleared. Copes with lightweight papers (52gsm) to cover weights (230gsm).
