We have a really usefull blog on Choosing the right Laminating machine here.
What does 'micron' mean?
The thickness of a single layer of laminating film is measured in micron (a micron is one-thousandth of an inch) the smaller the micron, the thinner and less rigid the film will be.
When do I adjust the heat setting on my pouch laminator?
If you are noticing bubbles, wrinkles or curling on laminated stocks this may be because you have the temperature set too high. If you are noticing a cloudy effect this may be because you have the temperature set too low.
If you are using thicker laminating pouches you may need to lower the temperature as it has a thicker layer of glue.
