There are a few things to consider when choosing a booklet maker.
Speed of booklet maker?
Many range between 800-4000 booklets per hour.
How much automation do I need?
If you are a small club with limited funds and only produce small quantities of booklets then either a long arm manual stapler or an electric saddle stapler like the popular Rapid 106 may be all thats needed. For printers & copy shops, schools & colleges etc that produce larger quantities of booklets something more automated will be needed.
What paper size do I need?
Paper size or finished booklet size must be considered as most booklet makers will produce A4 and A5 size booklets but not all will handle either A6 size or A4 landscape booklets.
What staples can I use?
Standard staple finish, flat clench and some booklet makers are able to do loop staples as well, these are ideal to use with ring binders as no hole punching is required.
Do you require on-line trimming?
Some booklet makers can have an optional trimmer unit added, this will trim of the fore edge giving a neater finish.
